HPE (NYSE: HPE), in partnership with AMD and alfanar, has launched two new additions to its ‘Saudi Made’ server portfolio — the HPE ProLiant DL365 and DL385 Gen11 — featuring 5th Gen AMD EPYC™ processors. The announcement was made at the alfanar production site in Riyadh, where the first AMD CPU-powered server was showcased, marking a significant milestone for localised server manufacturing.

The latest ‘Saudi Made’ HPE ProLiant servers deliver enhanced performance, security, and scalability to support advanced analytics and real-time business insights. Certified with the ‘Saudi Tech’ label, the servers are available now in Saudi Arabia, with wider availability across Jordan, Egypt, and Gulf markets. This expansion underpins the Kingdom’s aim to lead globally in data-driven economies, aligned with the strategic goals of Vision 2030.

Mohammad Alrehaili, Managing Director, Middle East, HPE, commented:

“We’re delighted to celebrate this major milestone together with our partners AMD and alfanar as we further expand our portfolio of ‘Saudi Made’ servers. We’ve seen an unprecedented demand for robust digital infrastructure and compute capabilities in the Middle East, driven by key strategic investments and frameworks such as Saudi Vision 2030 and technological advancements like AI. This new server offering, leveraging the latest AMD EPYC processors, directly addresses this demand, delivering predictable high performance at scale while helping ensure rock-solid data security at every level.”

Featuring 4th and 5th Gen AMD EPYC™ processors, the new DL365 and DL385 Gen11 servers offer high-density compute power, increased memory bandwidth, and configurable storage options to optimise performance across data-intensive workloads and cloud-native applications.

Zaid Ghattas, General Manager for Middle East, Türkiye and Africa at AMD, added:

“AMD EPYC CPUs provide the energy efficiency and performance leadership required to help power the infrastructure that will support Saudi Arabia’s comprehensive digital growth strategy. AMD is proud to work with HPE on this initiative and committed to serving our customers in Saudi Arabia as well as the broader Middle East region.”

To complement the product launch, HPE and AMD are investing in workforce development programmes to upskill the predominantly female Saudi workforce, fostering local innovation and advancing the technology ecosystem.

Markus Grabmeier, Vice President, alfanar Electric, said:

“We are proud to support this expansion of the HPE ‘Saudi Made’ server portfolio, further strengthening not only our own production capabilities, but also our joint contributions to the growing tech ecosystem within the Kingdom. This milestone reflects our continued commitment to advancing technological expertise and fostering female talent in the Kingdom.”
