Dubai’s premier triathlon event, the T100, is now just 100 days away, and UAE endurance icon Ghani Souleymane is marking the countdown with an extraordinary Guinness World Record challenge—completing 100 full-distance triathlons in 100 days, finishing with the Dubai T100 itself on 16 November.
Beginning this Friday at Kite Beach, the challenge features a 2km swim, 80km cycle and 18km run each day—mirroring the T100 format—and will ultimately cover 10,000km. The record attempt also supports charitable efforts for children affected by war.
“This challenge is about more than sport,” said Ghani, known for conquering 30 ultramarathons in 30 days (2020) and 30 Ironmans in 30 days (2023). “It’s about showing what’s possible when you give everything and using that effort to help children who’ve lost so much.”
Festival of Triathlon Returns to Dubai
Sanctioned by the PTO and part of the T100 World Tour, the Dubai T100 has quickly risen to prominence as a major international sports festival, blending elite races, public participation, and a carnival-style setting at the heart of the city.
The event aligns with the Dubai Fitness Challenge, encouraging 30 minutes of daily physical activity for 30 days. With events suited to all levels, the Dubai T100 aims to foster inclusive participation across the community.

“As we scale globally, we’re more committed than ever to making triathlon accessible to everyone,” said Sam Renouf, CEO of the Professional Triathletes Association. “Ghani’s 100 x 100km challenge captures everything the T100 is about – elite sport that inspires community and purpose.”
Elite Athletes Ready for Return to Dubai
Dubai’s fast and technical course – centred on the Meydan Racecourse – will once again host some of the world’s top talent ahead of the Qatar finale in December.
“Last year’s Dubai T100 was unforgettable – fast, challenging, and world-class,” commented Julie Derron, Swiss Olympian and current T100 women’s leader. “The atmosphere, the fans, and the energy in Dubai make it one of the best events of the season. I can’t wait to be back.”
